Instructions for Using the Voodoo Doll

The Tools

You can use three different tools with the Voodoo Doll. They are:

The Needles

1. Click the mouse anywhere on the pin cushion to select a needle.
2. Move the mouse (do not drag) until the needle is positioned over the doll in the place you want to stick it.
3. Click the mouse to stick the needle into the doll.

The Candle

1. Click the mouse anywhere on the candle. (Except the flame of course! You can't pick up a candle by the flame!)
2. Move the mouse (do not drag) until the candle's flame is positioned over the doll in the place you want to burn it.
3. Click the mouse to burn the doll. The candle will return to its original position.

The Hook Knife

1. Click the mouse anywhere on the handle of the hook knife. You can't grab the blade because you might cut yourself.
2. Move the mouse (do not drag) until the hook knife's point is positioned over the doll in the place you want to make a cut.
3. Click and drag (OK, now you can drag) the knife over the doll to make your cut. As the doll's surface is cut, the cotton inside the doll will puff out.
4. Release the mouse button when your cut is finished. The knife will return to it's original position.

The Buttons

There are a couple of buttons for the Voodoo Doll. They are:

"New Doll, Please."

Clicking this button will clear all of the doll's current damage so that you can start fresh.

"E-Mail that Puppy!"

Clicking this button will display a window that allows you to E-mail a copy of the doll to someone.

How to E-Mail a Voodoo Doll

If you wish to E-Mail a Voodoo Doll to someone, follow these steps:

1. Click the button labeled "Send that Puppy!" to open the E-Mail Window.
2. Fill in the information for your real name, e-mail address, the intended recipient's e-mail address, and any comment you may wish to enclose. Some of this information will be visible in the e-mail message sent to the intended recipient, all will be visible on the web page that the intended recipient views.
3. Click the button labeled "Send It!", or click the button labeled "Never Mind" to cancel.

Tips and Tricks

Here are a couple of tips and tricks for using the Voodoo Doll:

• When someone sends you a Voodoo Doll and you want to see the animation again, click your browser's Reload button.
• The E-mail message and the web page that you see when someone sends you a Voodoo Doll contain information that the sender can enter (the sender's real name and e-mail address), but some may choose not to enter this information. That is why the users host name or IP address is also enclosed.
